Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of infrastructure systems. This role is integral to driving technical excellence, innovation, and ensuring the operational efficiency of our infrastructure projects across the Nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional engineering team in the planning, design, and execution of complex infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Direction: Provide guidance on technical best practices, architecture, and design patterns for infrastructure solutions, including cloud computing, data centers, and network infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring successful and timely delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Product, Operations, and IT) to align engineering efforts with business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clear expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory changes within the Canadian infrastructure landscape.
  • Risk Management: Identify technical risks and issues, proactively address them, and manage risk mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all infrastructure systems comply with Canadian regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to security, safety, and environmental impact.
  • Performance & Optimization: Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend optimizations for cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role focused on infrastructure solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in infrastructure systems, including but not limited to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), network engineering, and data center management.
  • Project Management: Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with expertise in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Canadian infrastructure sector, particularly with projects involving transportation, utilities, and Construction of both commercial and residential.
  • Knowledge of Canadian safety regulations, environmental standards, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.

Remuneration Range : $120,000.00 to $130,00.00 per/year, Group Benefits and up to 7.6% pension match. 3 weeks vacation, 4 personal days, 15 sick days, 3 cultural days and paid Xmas break.
