Our client, a growing logistics solutions company, is looking to hire an experienced Cloud / DevOps / Data Engineer to join their team in Toronto.

We are looking for candidates with a broad range of experience, developing and managing infrastructure on AWS, pared with knowledge of DevOps and Data Engineering in this environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, monitor and maintain scalable, reliable cloud solutions
• Develop automation scripts for deploying, configuring, monitoring and maintaining server Infrastructure
• Construct DevOps pipelines for the continuous integration and deployment of code changes
• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines
• Work with back-end development team to enhance data assimilation and management systems
• Manage and optimize database performance
• Understand and implement security best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in S/W Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
• AWS certified in Solutions Architecture and DevOps Engineer
• Min 4-5 years' experience in AWS cloud architecture and maintenance (VPC, RDS, Lambda, EC2, Redshift, ECS, and IAM)
• Strong understanding of DevOps Engineering (Bitbucket)
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing, developing and managing data pipelines (Apache Airflow)
• Experience with Python or similar scripting tool for automation
• Proven skills managing and optimizing production databases would be highly valued (PostgreSQL or SQL)
• Awareness of cloud security best practices
• JavaScript and next.js experience would be beneficial

NOTE: this position is hybrid, with requirements to be in office 3 days / week and travel to customer sites for business meetings
