We are currently seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in supporting a variety of aircraft modification programs. This role involves the end-to-end development of engineering data packages, technical analysis, and airworthiness certification in compliance with national and international aviation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and define Technical Requirement Documents and Engineering Technical Assessments
- Review and evaluate vendor technical proposals and internal Program Change Requests (PCRs)
- Generate and manage Design Change Proposals and Modification Summary Packages
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and qualification reports
- Support aircraft integration and testing: including authoring Test Definition Sheets, test witnessing, and report generation
- Ensure compliance with TCCA, FAA, and EASA regulations for avionics systems
- Interface with suppliers through technical meetings and Engineering Coordination Memos
- Provide troubleshooting and support during production and in-service operations, including SDR resolution and Service Bulletin development
- Lead and mentor junior engineers within the avionics team
Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the design, integration, and certification of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Minimum 5 years supporting airworthiness certification (TCCA preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Avionics systems: Auto Flight, FMS, Communications, Navigation, Indication, Cabin, Maintenance
- FAR Part 23 & 25, ARP4754, ARP4761, EWIS requirements
- RTCA DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 and related advisory circulars
- Certification procedures with TCCA, FAA, or EASA
Skills & Tools:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with AutoCAD, CATIA and/or SolidWorks
- Strong technical documentation and report writing
- Excellent time management and project tracking capabilities
