About the Role
As an Analog/Mixed Signal Design Engineer at The Six, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and bring-up of full-custom building blocks of a memory PHY IP.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Define specification for analog/mixed-signal building blocks for high-speed memory PHY IP
- Schematic and layout design, verification, bring-up and debug for analog/mixed-signal blocks
- Work closely with digital team to ensure robust integration of analog and digital blocks
- Create design specifications and verification plans
- Development of behavioral/timing models of analog blocks
- Prepare design documentation and technical reviews
- Test-chip bring-up, debug, and analog blocks tuning in the lab
- Customer system integration and bring-up support
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Extensive schematic and layout design experience in analog and digital integrated circuits in FinFET processes
- Design experience in analog building blocks (CDR, DAC, ADC, Voltage Regulators, SerDes, IOs)
- Design experience in high-speed (10GHz+) digital clocking circuits (DLL, PLL, VCO, PI, dividers, buffers) is an asset
- Previous experience in Memory Interfaces design is an asset
- Working knowledge in DFM (ESD, latch-up, signal-integrity, EMIR)
- Strong knowledge of analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IC design CAD tools and flow (schematic/layout/verilogA/LEF/.lib/extraction generation)
- Knowledge in package/PCB design, TCL, Perl, Python and/or SKILL languages is a plus
