We are a Winnipeg-based startup company with two founders and three employees. We specialize in electronic control system (ECS) development for industrial vehicles, primarily for the agriculture and construction industries.
Help Wanted
We are looking for a recent graduate with Qt front-end development skills to join us on a 6-month term, with the possibility to extend into a long-term role. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with industry-leading clients in the construction and agriculture sectors, solving complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions.
Your Role
As a member of our team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, integrating and maintaining front-end applications using Qt. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams, as well as external clients.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using Qt (Widgets and QML)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging application issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement processes
- Help us develop internal tools

Remote Work
Guild Automation is a remote team. We keep in touch using Slack and Google Meet, plus a few in-person meetings in Winnipeg. We offer some flexibility in working hours but we expect you to be diligent with your time, tasks, and communication.
Job Qualifications
Here are a few of the things we are looking for. You do not need to have all of this experience to start, as long as you are willing to learn.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience developing Qt or web ( HTML, CSS, JavaScript ) front-end applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Recent post-secondary graduate (college or university)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and UI/UX principles
Nice to Have (but not required):
- Experience with embedded software development
- Experience with J1939 CAN and vehicle electronics, or industrial applications
- Experience with graphical programming environments (e.g., MATLAB, CODESys)
