Trystar's team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Sr. Electrical Engineer who will support our design efforts at to exceed customer expectations & achieve strategic and aspirational growth plans while following our values & guiding principles.
In this role you get to design custom Uninterrupted Power Systems, distribution panels, charging systems, and more. The successful candidate will be able to create new designs and advise on a course of action on preexisting projects. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, ensuring that we are on time, adding value beyond what is being requested, all while providing the easiest path to a solution in the industry.

In this role you will get to:
- Define, design, prototype, develop, and commercialize a range of products including Uninterruptable Power Systems, Distribution Panels, Chargers, and more.
- Design schematics and specify required equipment for multi-layer power distribution systems.
- Define new product integration testing plans.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to design engineers, test technicians, and assembly personnel.
- Initiate BOM creation and maintenance.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical industrial system/product design. EPC industry support is desired.
- Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, E-Plan, and others.
- Experience defining electrical specifications for Uninterrupted Power Systems, Distribution Panels, and Battery Chargers.
- Travel 15% of the time.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- NFPA 70E Certification.
- Experience with UL891, UL489, UL1077, UL508, UL1008, UL9540, CSA 22.2, Canadian Electrical Code, and others.
- Experience with ERP, PLM, and Engineering Vault software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to define and lead implementation of new Trystar product design standards.
- Ability to adapt & thrive in a fast-paced/high growth work environment.
- Highly motivated, fast learner with exceptional attention to detail that thrives in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing floor environment.
