Position: Innovation Delivery - Demonstration Specialist

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Schedule: Monday to Friday (weekdays)

Contract Duration: From April/May to December, with the potential for extension.

Introduction

Brunel is currently seeking an Innovation Delivery - Demonstration Specialist to support a leading mining company in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing various innovation initiatives currently in the demonstration phase, focusing on automation and process improvements. These initiatives aim to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive technological advancements within mining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage innovation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct research on new processes and technologies that can be implemented to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and integration of new processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders on new processes and technologies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role will be responsible for the execution of the following in-flight initiatives:

  • Mine shaft and guide inspection automation
  • Drone automation
  • Others as identified

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience, with preference in a mining, engineering, or construction setting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing on-site construction and off-site vendors, including suppliers and engineering service providers.
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and zero-waste initiatives.
  • Formal education in engineering, technology, or a similar technical field from a post-secondary college or university.
  • P.Eng and Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials will be considered an asset.
