Calabria Group is currently seeking Solutions QA Engineers to join our client team in Kanata Canada. This will require 3 days onsite with the team and 2 days remote.

Pay $60-$65hr

Location- Kanata Canada

Hybrid - MUST be onsite 3 days per week

Duration 6 months with extensions

What will you do?

• Analyze product requirements and develop testing strategies
• Collaborate closely with product, development, and QA teams to refine test strategies and improve testing processes.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and work with the development team to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Develop/ Maintain automated scripts for testing front and backend on prem / cloud applications
• Improve and scale our internal test frameworks for regression and performance tests
• Report defects comprehensively using bug tracking system
• Write/execute regression tests, record test results and provide timely feedback on quality of the build
• Continuously improve testing practices by contributing to process enhancements and adopting best practices.

Professional Skills:

• 5+ years of hands on experience as a Solutions QA Engineer designing, building, and executing manual and automated test cases.
• Experience with networking elements (e.g., switches, routers), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficient in Python and Java
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and best practices.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging techniques for software and network issues.
• Familiar with Git and or Jenkins automation.
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written).
• Familiar with TestRail, JIRA, and operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies.
