We are seeking a practical and detail-oriented Mechatronics Engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced robotic systems. This role involves hands-on work in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, sensor installation, and iterative prototyping. The ideal candidate thrives in multidisciplinary environments and enjoys solving real-world challenges in robotics, automation, or logistics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire robotic systems, including sensors, harnesses, LED components, and mechanical substructures
  • Modify and rework hardware builds as designs evolve
  • Perform system-level testing and support bug identification with software and QA teams
  • Create and update wiring diagrams, cutlists, and technical documentation
  • Support R&D builds, FAT demos, and small-scale deployments
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure integrated system performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; technical diploma with experience accepted
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in robotic assembly, automation hardware integration, or field testing
  • Proficient in wiring, connector installation, interpreting schematics, and using diagnostic tools
  • Familiarity with AMRs, AGVs, or robotic platforms is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, hands-on mindset, and ability to work in iterative development settings

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Bilingual (English and French) - strong asset in our team environment
  • Experience working with ROS (Robot Operating System) for integration and testing
  • Familiarity with 3D printing, CNC machining, or rapid prototyping methods
  • Exposure to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), on-site deployment, or mass testing
  • Experience documenting build standards and contributing to continuous improvement in assembly processes
