As our Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with the CTO to design, build, and refine our platform across both backend and frontend services. You'll have a pivotal role in shaping our cloud architecture, integrating with cloud services (especially Google Cloud Platform), and driving best practices for scalability and performance. You'll also take ownership of frontend development, working with modern frameworks to deliver intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces. Your focus will span server-side development, data modeling, prompt engineering and API performance, as well as delivering polished front-end experiences to ensure a seamless, end-to-end user experience.

Work Authorization Requirements

We will only consider candidates who are legally authorized to work in Canada. If you are on a visa, you must have a minimum of three years of work authorization remaining.

Daily Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain features for our SaaS platform, with an emphasis on the frontend
• Collaborate closely with our CTO and tight-knit team to drive the product's roadmap
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within an agile startup environment
• Participate actively in coding, troubleshooting, and code review sessions

You Will Thrive in This Role if You Have

• A minimum of 5 years of professional enterprise software development experience (preference for 8+ years)
• Proven expertise with JavaScript frameworks, particularly React
• Strong background with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity building and integrating APIs (Shopify, Google Analytics, Stripe)
• Solid experience handling large datasets and performing complex data processing tasks in a cloud environment
• Autonomy in day-to-day tasks and the potential to step into a supervisory role as the company evolves
• Dedication to projects, including the flexibility to work long hours when needed
• The ability to work onsite at least 2 days a week
• Fluency in English (conversational French or willingness to learn is a plus)

Candidates with an Edge Will Have

• 5+ (preferably 8+) years of hands-on development experience
• Background in Generative AI
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
• Startup experience, where rapid changes in direction are common
• Familiarity with modern dev and deployment tools like TypeScript, Firebase, Sentry, ESLint, and CI/CD
• A proven track record of shipping high-quality code in fast-paced environments
