SUMMARY

As a Senior Project Manager at Insituform Technologies , you will oversee and manage all phases of pipeline rehabilitation projects utilizing our innovative cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology. Your leadership will ensure projects meet company objectives for customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and profitability. By collaborating with field engineers, project managers, and subcontractors, you will drive project success from contract acquisition through to completion and final payment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage other Field Engineers and Project Managers to plan, direct and manage all activities of assigned CIPP projects to ensure that company objectives for customer satisfaction, safety, quality, production, revenue and profit are met within a prescribed time frame.
• Accountable for the project management system, tools and staff for all assigned projects from the time a project is acquired through the final payment of closed projects.
• Acquire fully executed contracts from customers and sub-contractors.
• Provide Regional Manager, Field Engineer(s), Superintendent(s) and appropriate sub-contractors with Job Transfer and work schedule.
• Administer Internal Project Meetings with the Superintendents, Field Engineer(s) and appropriate sub-contractors to make necessary changes and finalize the work schedule.
• Attend the customer's Pre-Construction Meeting and ensures necessary staff and sub-contractors attend.
• Procure Critical Project Documents (necessary permits, submittals, sub-contractor insurance requirements) required by the specifications or client.
• Monitor projects daily and record production and job costs into the project management system.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Project Progress Reports as required.
• Identify changes in the scope of work to determine if there is an opportunity or need to submit a Change Order Request to the customer.
• Facilitate and execute all Change Orders with the customer.
• Plan and hold Project Status Meetings with the customer, sub-contractors, Field Engineer, Project Managers and Superintendents as necessary.
• Monitor and verify all sub-contractor production daily and record progress in the project management system.
• Verify and record committed and actual job costs into the project management system daily.
• Complete a Project Close Out Report to identify final changes in work scope, additional revenue opportunities, punch list items and any hindrances that may delay close out and final payment.
• Submit invoices and collect payments from the customer as necessary.
• Update and maintain customer/contact database for all contacts associated with any project, existing customers, sub-contractors, prime contractors or any other parties that may influence or impact Insituform's success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 or more years related field construction project management experience.
• Previous experience in water/sewer or municipal environment is an asset.
• Bachelor of Science degree Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or other related field required.
• Registration as a P. Eng. would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience managing Field Engineers and Project Managers.
• Ability to plan, schedule and assign work of crews including training and communication updates.
• Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and databases, Microsoft Project, Primavera and JD Edwards software experience an asset.
• Experience troubleshooting issues with customers as needed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to give presentations.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% travel.

RESPONSABILITÉS

• Planifier, diriger et gérer les activités des projets assignés afin de garantir que les objectifs de l'entreprise en matière de satisfaction client, de sécurité, de qualité, de production, de revenus et de profit soient atteints dans les délai prévus.
• Responsable des études de site, de l'exécution des contrats et du démarrage des projets.
• S'assurer que les opérations de construction sont bien organisées et coordonnées.
• Gérer toutes les activités des sous-traitants.
• Créer et fournir des transferts et des horaires de travail aux parties internes concernées et aux sous-traitants.
• Administrer les réunions internes de projet avec les surintendants et les sous-traitants concernés pour apporter les modifications nécessaires et finaliser le calendrier de travail.
• Assister à la réunion de démarrage avec le client et s'assurer que le personnel et les sous-traitants nécessaires y assistent.
• Obtenir les documents administratifs du projet (les permis nécessaires, les soumissions des fournisseurs et sous-traitants, les certificats assurances des sous-traitants) requis par les spécifications ou le client.
• Surveiller les projets quotidiennement et enregistrer la production et les coûts de travail dans le système de gestion de projet.
• Préparer des rapports d'avancement de projet hebdomadaires et mensuels selon les besoins.
• Identifier et déterminer s'il y a une opportunité ou un besoin de soumettre une demande de changement au client.
• Faciliter et exécuter tous les changements avec le client.
• Planifier des réunions de suivi de projet avec le client, les sous-traitants, le chargé de projet senior et les surintendants selon les besoins.
• Agir comme liaison entre le terrain et le bureau.
• Surveiller et vérifier la production de tous les sous-traitants quotidiennement et enregistrer l'avancement dans le système de gestion de projet.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 ans ou plus d'expérience en gestion de projet dans le domaine de génie civil et/ou construction.
• Une expérience préalable dans un environnement en génie civil (d'eau/égout) ou municipal est un atout.
• Diplôme de baccalauréat en génie civil, gestion de la construction, génie mécanique ou autre domaine connexe requis.
• Être membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec serait considéré comme un atout.
• Capacité à planifier, programmer et assigner le travail des équipes, y compris la formation et les mises à jour de communication.
• Doit avoir une bonne maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel et des bases de données ; une expérience avec Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, InEight et JD Edwards est un atout.
• Expérience dans la résolution de problèmes avec les clients au besoin.
• Excellentes compétences en communication et capacité à faire des présentations.
• Capacité à voyager environ 20 % du temps.
