QA / QC Construction Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the QA/QC Engineer must be an experienced geotechnical or civil engineer with sound analytical skills to ensure that projects are delivered safely and on budget. Responsibilities include:

Pre-construction planning - reviewing plans, specifications, and drawings, and participating in site investigations. Preparing material estimates and cost calculations.

Monitoring construction activities ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

Performing quality control inspections of materials and workmanship. Identifying and reporting any safety hazards.

Quality assurance duties including creating documents and procedures for every section of the project including production summaries.

To ensure that the necessary project documents (Reinforcement Acceptance Reports, Panel Excavation Report, Panel Concrete Report, Slurry Test Reports, Measurement Record, B-Tronic Protocol, Panel Coordinates Report) are mutually signed with the client.

Control quality of Diaphragm Wall works.

Taking ground improvement samples.

Preparation of Diaphragm Wall calculation and daily, weekly, monthly reports.

Control of concrete quality before and during concreting. Obtaining concrete values at the designated area on site.

Preparing weekly utilization reports.

Attending project meetings, evaluating and documenting progress of site works, arranging daily reports of activity and informing management of same.
