We are looking for an Associate Manager, Technology Audit to join our high-performance team.

The Technology Audit Associate Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of a portfolio of audits for Canada Life. Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit Technology, you will support a team of Audit Professionals in executing detailed audit plans. These plans identify potential areas of risk by assessing the adequacy of internal controls, determining compliance with government regulations and internal policies, evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness, and identifying improvement opportunities. You will work with business partners to ensure appropriate risk mitigation. As part of a team committed to innovation, you will help establish new ways of working, such as agile auditing techniques and data analytics, to deliver high-quality, impactful audits.

What you will do:

  1. Reporting to the Director of Technology Audit, support the achievement of Internal Audit's vision to provide bold insights for a company that delivers on its promises to customers, by:
    1. Carrying out audit planning, test program development, execution, and reporting, including:
      • Identifying risk and assessing control adequacy
      • Recommending strategies to optimize risks, benefits, and quality
      • Performing business application development internal control reviews
      • Performing data analytics by defining problem statements, identifying relevant datasets, and leveraging data analytics tools to derive insights
      • Developing reports and presentations for stakeholders
      • Applying agile auditing methodologies
      • Managing audit time budgets and communicating status
    2. Leading or participating in practice and improvement initiatives.
    3. Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
    4. Building and maintaining collaborative business relationships.

What you will bring:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in auditing systems, processes, risk management, and controls, with at least 3 years in technology audit.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing applications, data, projects, and governance.
  • Knowledge of IT Governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, NIST, CIS, OSFI Self-Assessment, ISO 2700x).
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of SAP, ERPs, Cloud, Networking, Mainframe, Unix, and Windows environments is an asset.
  • Working towards CISA certification; other designations (CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CIA, CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) are assets.
  • Familiarity with data analytics is an asset.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international team.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Location:

This position is flexible to be located in Toronto, London, or Winnipeg.

Compensation:

The base salary ranges from $63,500 to $117,400 annually. This does not include other variable compensation components. Details will be discussed if you proceed in the process.
