Our expectations:
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Security, the Senior Advisor, Business Continuity will support, promote, and guide the RONA Business Continuity and Resilience Program. The program's objective is to ensure that RONA is prepared to continue business operations effectively and efficiently in the event of disruptions and emergency situations, while minimizing negative impacts to its associates, processes, infrastructure, and technology. The incumbent's responsibilities also include facilitating and supporting crisis management during emergency events.
Your role:
Conduct fact-finding, business impact assessments (BIA) with corporate clients (business unit management) to identify gaps and deficiencies in preparedness and response capabilities; leverage industry standard principles to create, educate, and test the readiness of business units through the creation of business continuity plans; account for dependent operations that may be adversely affected during a disruption
In partnership with the Manager, Corporate Security through engagement and training/educational forums, promote awareness, business unit ownership, and execution of continuity plans across the organization
Provide Business Continuity support for tabletop exercises, from planning through to execution and post exercise, gap analyses and recommended resolution
As needed and directed, support emergency Command Centre operations, supporting severe weather preparation and response activities in Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Corporate/affiliated dealer stores
Lead the After-Action reviews of the post-event and post-storm season to gather and compile lessons learned from business stakeholders to facilitate the evolution of response policies and procedures
Support enterprise-wide crisis and emergency management efforts
The qualifications we are looking for:
A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in operational risk management, resilience, or business continuity or equivalent combination of education and experience
Business Continuity or Risk Management Certifications such as ABCP, CBCP, CRMP, CRM
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, lead multiple projects, effectively prioritise, and manage a high volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions.
Strong knowledge of business continuity and risk management frameworks
Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise-wide continuity strategies
Demonstrated experience in leading in a crisis
Excellent communication skills (written / verbal) with stakeholder engagement
