Job Duties: Fabricate custom cabinets Study plans, specifications, or drawings of cabinets to be made Match Furnishing styles and materials to clients needs Select wood and hardware products for cabinets or door production Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood or wood products Operate various wood working machines to cut and shape wood according to specifications and measurements Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products May clean and maintain machinery and tools to ensure a safe working environment. Job Requirements: Completion Secondary School Education. Completion of 4 year apprenticeship program or a combination of 2-3 years of work experience in the trade and some high school or college courses in cabinetmaking. Trade certificate is not compulsory but an asset Salary: $34.80 per hour for 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Job Location: Unit Street, Surrey BC, and various locations across the Lower Mainland May have to travel to various client locations all over lower mainland Free Transportation will be provided by the employer.
