The role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic North American President of Production to lead and oversee the operations of our production services. This role will be pivotal in driving growth, championing innovation and technology, and connecting with creative and media agencies to deliver outstanding results. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong background in production, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record of leveraging technology to drive growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking production strategy that aligns with Plus Company's vision and objectives.
- Drive innovation in production techniques and processes, including the adoption of advanced technologies such as AI tools, to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent Plus Company and its agencies externally at industry events, showcasing thought leadership in creativity, technology, and production.
Technology and Innovation:
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production.
- Analyze production workflows to identify opportunities for AI and technological integration to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Implement new tools and technologies to improve creativity and output quality.
- Develop comprehensive standards for the ethical use of AI in production, addressing biases, data privacy concerns, and accountability measures.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation across the production teams.
Growth, Client, and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities with existing and potential clients to meet growth targets.
- Build and strengthen relationships with creative and media agencies to foster collaboration and unlock new opportunities.
- Act as a key contact for senior stakeholders, providing strategic insights and updates on production activities and outcomes.
- Develop strategies to expand client engagements and proactively address client needs.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess agency performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire production teams, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Be accountable for team engagement, as monitored through bi-annual engagement surveys.
- Identify and address skill gaps, providing opportunities for professional development and training.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the production teams and the work they produce.
Financial Management:
- Accountable for total production budgets and ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with finance teams to forecast and report on production-related expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in production, media, business management, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in production, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams or agencies in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of production workflows, tools, and methodologies including a proven track record in implementing innovation solutions and driving organizational change.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive financial performance.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proven track record in running a successful P&L and leading a production business and/or function.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through innovative strategies.
