About the role

Provide site leadership and support to the Orica site, ensuring all areas of business requirement are delivered in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring ongoing growth both personally and for the business.

What you will be doing

The role of the Site Supervisor is critical to the safe and effective delivery of the business within the Western Region. The role is all about leadership, influencing and the setting and transfer of exceptional standards to the business.

What you will bring

• Engineer or mine technician in appropriate field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience.
• Understanding of initiation systems and their application in advanced blasting solutions.
• Ability to develop and conduct effective marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Strong degree of professionalism and self motivation.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining customer service relationships in a market with significant growth opportunities.
• Ability to provide customer solutions matching Orica operational abilities and budgetary requirements.
• Ability to identify and sell the benefits of Orica products and services and structure value propositions.
• Ability to analyze/impact financial data utilizing SAP, and Resource Modeling
• Organization, attentive to detail, time management and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Federal, Provincial and other applicable regulations.
• Mechanical comprehension of operation/maintenance of equipment.
• Strong computer or base skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to interact effectively with people in varying situations.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Compensation Range

  • $85,000.00 - $120,000.00
