Job Title: Associate Detail Designer
Location: Halifax, NS
Salary: $60,875 - $78,826
What you'll be doing:
Assist in developing detailed designs for marine vessels using CAD software
Create blueprints and schematics for ship systems and structures
Participate in regular inspections and tests of ship systems and structures to verify quality and performance
Contribute to the design process under the supervision of Senior Designers, learning and applying ship design techniques
Continuously improve design skills and knowledge of marine systems through hands-on training and mentorship
Your skills and experiences:
Recent graduate with a degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
Strong interest in ship design, 3D/2D modelling, and marine vessel construction
Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of senior team members
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The Detail Design team:
As an Associate Detail Designer, you will be part of the design team working under the guidance of Senior Detail Designers and Team Leads. This is an entry level position with a comprehensive training program aimed at equipping you with the necessary skills to excel in marine vessel design using 3D/2D modelling techniques. You will have the opportunity to work on Canada's River Class Destroyer program and gain hands-on experience with one of the best warship design teams in the industry.
