Job Title: Senior Engineer - Electrical

Location: Halifax, NS

Salary: $85,206-$106,389

What you'll be doing:

Serve as the primary liaison between the UK-based electrical engineering team and external stakeholders
Support the design and modification of general and special lighting systems
Provide electrical expertise for hull preservation and degaussing systems
Ensure electrical models are up-to-date, performing accurate cable calculations, and providing clear guidance on electrical requirements for various systems
Ensure electrical systems comply with all relevant safety standards, including electrical safety, and QPS (Quality, Performance, and Safety) protocols

Your skills and experiences:

Extensive experience with electrical systems in warship design or marine projects
Proficient knowledge in LV distribution, electrical protection systems, cable calculations, and electrical modelling
Problem-Solving: Comfortable troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical design issues in a high-pressure environment
Good working knowledge of industry standards and regulations applicable to marine electrical systems, including safety standards
Possess a valid P.Eng certification or actively working to obtain one

The Electrical Engineering team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Stage 1 Engineering Team for the River Class Destroyer project. As the primary point of contact, you will play a key role in coordinating between the UK-based engineering team and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and effective project execution. The team operates in a collaborative and high-performing environment, where expertise and knowledge are shared across diverse engineering disciplines.
