BURNCO is hiring a full-time Residential Field Inspector for our Ready-Mix Division out of Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Residential Sales Manager, the successful candidates will support our business by providing exceptional customer service. This role is to join and support our exciting residential division. Duties will include site inspections, warranty visits/meetings, minor concrete repairs, field data entry, communication with home builders and other duties as required. What You Will Be Doing

  • Inspect site access prior to job start.
  • Warranty inspections/meetings with homeowners & home builder warranty departments.
  • Site construction measurements.
  • Obtaining, storing, and organizing field documentation.
  • Effective problem-solving of on-site construction concerns.
  • Ensure client and BURNCO quality standards are achieved and maintained through regular site quality control checks.
  • Identify/track/report field discrepancies, out of scope work, or any other variances to scope.
  • Deficiency and conflict resolution.
  • Execute minor/basic repairs if required.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all sub-trades.
  • Complete daily safety reporting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills and ability to work alone.
  • Previous construction inspector or warranty resolution experience required.
  • Working to deadlines and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of residential concrete construction standards, practices, procedures, and sequences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Safety focused.
  • Light estimating skills are considered an asset.
