You'll collaborate closely with our in-house 3D technical artist to prepare, optimize, and manage assets for use in Unity, while also leveraging spatial data from GIS systems to improve model accuracy and functionality.

  • Apply textures in Adobe Photoshop, replicating realistic materials for large environment assets
  • Import, organize, and configure assets in Unity, including colliders, scripts, shaders, and materials
  • Prototype and test graphical improvements and interactive features for the Digital Twin
  • Follow asset management standards including naming conventions and structured version control
  • Support the GIS-to-3D integration workflow by referencing GIS data and construction drawings to align 3D assets with real-world coordinates
  • Conduct spatial data cleanup and documentation in tools like ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or FME, as needed to support Unity development
  • Assist in improving the fidelity and accuracy of the model by identifying GIS gaps or misalignments and proposing solutions

Key Qualifications include:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience working in Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Unity
  • A passion for 3D environments, games, or simulations, particularly for technical art pipelines
  • Diplomacy and professionalism, with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and excellence
  • Familiarity or experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or FME is a strong asset
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or CAD files is an asset
  • Bonus experience in: ArcGIS Online/Portal, Microstation/AutoCAD, Safe Software's FME Desktop, SQL, or JavaScript

This role is ideal for a post-secondary student in fields such as Computer Science, Game Design, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related programs, looking for practical experience that blends 3D technical art and spatial data systems in a real-world environment.
