BURNCO is looking to hire an experienced and driven Asphalt Plant Foreman for our Asphalt Division, Acheson Operations. Based out of our Acheson operations you will be working and responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operations of our production plants within the Edmonton region. Skilled at supervising and motivating teams both union and non-union, you have experience and take pride in getting your construction products produced on time and at the highest quality levels. What You Will Be Doing

  • Promoting BURNCO's safety program, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Managing the operation and maintenance of production plants.
  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of Loaders, Skid Steers and other rolling stock.
  • Managing/optimizing plant production and silo storage utilization.
  • Supervising production staff in both union and non-union environments.
  • Ensuring quality of all products.
  • Supervising and motivating staff to obtain high levels of production.
  • Maximizing asset utilization as well as completion of all associated paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Would Like from You

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of asphalt production experience.
  • Valid Class 5 or equivalent Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract.
  • High school diploma - having a technical trade certification will be an asset.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems to minimize production issues, bottlenecks & costs and/or to maximize profitability.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, at ease with both internal & external customers.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to schedule, supervise and ensure smooth production operations are maintained throughout the week, weekends and irregular hours at times.
