Gemini is seeking an experienced and strategic manufacturing operations leader with a proven track record of driving profitability, developing strong leadership, shaping effective business strategies, and excelling problem-solving discipline across multiple plants or product lines to lead a plant of approximately 30 team members. The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks while balancing priorities with a sense of urgency, has a proven record in managing plant operations, and is both customer and employee centric, with a nuanced distribution of responsibilities.
This position leads a team of people in a manufacturing environment in beautiful Neustadt, Ontario. Our new Production Manager will work closely with our current Site Leader to learn the business before taking responsibility for leading our manufacturing operation. Site Structure:
30 team members work in Production; the full site is 50 including support functions.
Position reports up through Corporate Headquarters in Cannon Falls, MN to the VP of Operations

Leadership (30%):
Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals to achieve operational excellence.

P&L Responsibility (30%):
Effectively manage KPI's, TTI's, and P&L performance.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize financial outcomes in areas such as material and labor.
Drive initiatives to enhance profitability without compromising on quality and safety standards.
Actively collaborate and adapt to changes with value steam partners, having the best interest of the value steam over plant performance
Problem Solving (25%):
Proactively identify and address operational challenges to ensure smooth production.
Implement effective problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex manufacturing problems.
Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and quality.
Business Strategy (15%):
Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with overall business strategy.
Operate with a sense of urgency to influence and adapt to business needs.
Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the plant's scope.
Keep abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications - Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
Desired: 10 years of experience and a proven track record of multi-plant or product line manufacturing operations leadership.
Desired: 7 years of experience in CNC Machining or related.
Proven leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team development abilities.
Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with a working knowledge of budgets, financial statements, and capital planning.
Exceptional Problem Solving with a Lean and Continuous Improvement acumen.
Proficient computer skills, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, inventory control, and project management applications.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Must be willing to consistently assist employees on the shop floor to build teamwork, participate in continuous improvement events and meet production schedules.
