Tenure : Full-Time on a 2-year contract (can be extended)
Location : NE Calgary, AB (Hybrid after training)
Hours : Monday - Friday, (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Must be accessible via email after hours and on weekends
Salary : $45,000/year (can increase to $48,000/year after 6-month probation)

Summary:
As a Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for the programming and deployment process of our public opinion surveys from inception to completion. You will gain exposure to different real-world APIs for political data collection and analysis, as well as practical applications of JavaScript and HTML. We are looking for adaptable and eager individuals with a thirst for knowledge to grow in our fast-paced industry. Working in a closely-knit team environment, you will play a critical role in our core department to ensure accurate survey programming, field preparation, and project launches under quick turn-around times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Program phone and online surveys using our proprietary, user-friendly survey platform
Professionally converse with multiple clients to determine programming set-up and project specifications
Interpret and generate unique programming solutions through HTML and JavaScript for various client programming requests
Vigorous testing and quality checks of surveys, on a surface and backend level, to confirm accurate programming
Analyze skip logic in Excel to verify all programming scenarios are set up correctly before projects launch to ensure data integrity
Troubleshoot and respond to mid-field programming changes from internal team and external clients
Required Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
Strong attention to detail

Ability and desire to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Qualtrics, SAS and jQuery
Understanding of SPSS, frequency reports, and setting up value labels
