Position Summary

As the Assistant Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations of the pharmacy to meet deliverables. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you will assist with team and resource management including scheduling, coaching and the training of staff. This role may require working overtime or being on-call to meet business needs.

Skills and Expectations
Ensure that operations meet regulatory compliance, and that policies and procedures are being followed
Assist in performing various operational and administrative tasks such as narcotic counts and inventory management
Ensure that team objectives are being met and that team members meet performance expectations
Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures
Act as a leader and resource person to the pharmacy team
Foster a culture that is in line with organizational values
Other tasks or projects as directed by Pharmacy Manager

Key Requirements
1-year pharmacy experience required
Registered and in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists
Supervisory experience preferred
Able to stand for length of shift
Ability to lift up to 15 kg (35 lbs.)
Ability to adapt to multiple and changing demands
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
