Job Profile
Hines Health Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and collecting specimens from patients in a private healthcare setting. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring that all procedures are conducted safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform venipunctures and capillary draws to collect blood samples from patients.
Ensure proper identification of patients and labeling of specimens to maintain accuracy.
Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies for phlebotomy procedures.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures to patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
Maintain accurate records of blood collection activities and patient information.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication regarding patient needs.
Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in phlebotomy practices.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent;
Completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program.
Experience in a hospital or laboratory setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and patient care.
Ability to perform phlebotomy with precision and care, ensuring minimal discomfort for patients.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Ability to recommend equipment for remote travel jobs.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
