TELUS Health is looking for a Medical Imaging Technologist to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our Toronto Bay Street Care Centre. This is a Casual Part-Time position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client-centered team-based care by performing medical imaging procedures such as x-rays, bone density scans and will practice in accordance with the vision and values of TELUS Health care Centres, with client safety and client experience as a priority.

What you'll do

Perform medical imaging procedures according to prescriptions and protocols during business operating hours
Act as the Radiation Protection Officer
Perform Quality Assurance on a daily basis
Perform certain administrative tasks as needed, such as:
Medical appointments
Registering patients
Procedural explanations, positions and scanning
Disinfecting environment
Participating in implementing directives from Accreditation Canada
Follow up with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure excellent customer service

Qualifications

What you bring

Graduate of an accredited medical radiology program
Sonography certificate and experience is an asset
Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Bone density certified
Strong professional judgement, organized and able to manage your time effectively
Strong problem solver, ability to critically think and analyze data
Diligent, autonomous, punctual, discreet, good people skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Good computer knowledge
Experience in operation a GE Prodigy Bone Densitometry device a strong asset

Salary Range: $24-$46
