Big Hearts Home Healthcare is excited to extend an offer for a Registered Nurse position to join our team, providing essential healthcare services in the Lac Rapide First Nation Community. This temporary position is available from December 25th to January 13th (or an alternative end date of January 7th if preferred) and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a remote community.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions.
Administer medications and perform phlebotomy as required.
Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage acute care and pain management.
Ensure compliance with PALS and BLS certification standards.
Engage with pediatric and senior patients, including those with dementia, to deliver compassionate care.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Language: English and French (mandatory)

Hourly Rate : $70.00 per hour
Signing Bonus : Available upon acceptance and start of assignment

Experience:
Recent and significant Canadian experience (+3 years) as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing Community Health or Primary Care nursing services in one or more of the following areas:
Community Health (Public Health and Home and Community Care)
Primary Care
Urgent or Emergency Care
Acute or Intensive Care
Certifications:
Malpractice Insurance
Driver's License
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS):
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS):
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS):
Other Certifications:
FNIHB Nursing Education Module on Controlled Substances
Basic Online Training on Quebec Immunization Protocol (PIQ)
Indigenous Cultural Safety Training: San'yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training Program.
Privacy Basics and Privacy Impact Assessments
