We are looking for a team leader who will be responsible for the industrial engineering team, with the main objective of improving our distribution activities. You will act as a leader and mentor within your team. In this role, you will work closely with the operations teams to implement a strategy and portfolio of projects aimed at improving our operational efficiency. You will also act as an internal expert (SME) for the design and optimization of processes, layout, equipment/automation and product positioning in the warehouse. You will also be called upon to contribute directly to certain projects or phases of critical projects.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Manage and develop your team of project managers to meet operational improvement targets.
- Define and plan improvement projects based on best practices in logistics and distribution to support the company's growth and improve our performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics best practices.
- Understand the challenges and support the organization in managing change and integrating new business processes to reduce risks.
- Contribute to the achievement of site managers' objectives by improving operations (health and safety, quality, productivity, workforce development and costs).
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, logistics or another relevant field.
- At least 8 years of experience in supply chain project management in similar industries (automotive, consumer goods, replacement parts, etc.).
- Experience in transforming distribution operations.
- The ability to communicate with internal stakeholders located outside of Quebec or in English on a daily basis.
- The ability to delegate and develop your team.
- Versatility, autonomy, rigour and excellent analytical skills.
- The ability to make quick decisions and measure their impact.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects and teams simultaneously.
- An excellent oral and written communicator with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, able to engage, manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma methodology and tools.
- Knowledge of SAP S4 and EWM would be an asset.
- Available to travel.
