We are seeking an Accounting Clerk provide support to our Accounting Team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will work alongside the Accounting Team and report to the Controller. Further details are below;

Responsibilities:

- Daily payment processing to our vendors via cheque or online banking for numerous branches

- Accurate review and coding of daily bills between departments

- Maintenance and processing of pre-authorized payments

- Maintenance and processing of monthly recurring cheque payments

- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for payables processing including proper authorizations

- Reconciling statements from our insurance carriers to verify the accuracy of our billings

- Investigating and correcting billing discrepancies in coordination with our service teams

- Addressing and responding to vendor inquiries and discrepancies to maintain vendor relations

- Providing back up for receivables functions when required

- Assistance with accounting department functions, projects and reconciliations as needed

Qualifications:

- College diploma in accounting or administration, or equivalent experience

- High degree of attention to detail and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently

- Strong time management and organization skills

- Experience in an insurance environment considered an asset
