Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited Canadian Speech Language Pathologist Therapist Program
Must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
Minimum one (1) year clinical experience. Experience in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, will be an asset
PROMPT training is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

Work with clients and their families to set speech goals which are language focused and have targeted, measurable outcomes
Provide direct service, consultation, mediation and education to client, family and community providers with a focus on maximizing a child's function in the areas of articulation difficulties, motor speech disorders, language delays, and learning disabilities
Utilize research to establish and support evidence-based practice
Provision of in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as and when needed

Hours:

Full time 36-40 hours/week
Flexible work schedules (daytime/evening) available with additional options of completing the administrative part of the work (e.g. report writing etc.) from a home office
