Manufacturing - permanent position - salary $85K to $95K

LOCATION: Kingston, ON.

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
5 yrs+ of hands-on manufacturing sector experience
Ability to initiate, plan and manage projects
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Team player
Effective use of time management and goal setting initiatives
Ability to use Solid Works and MS Office

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing methods for manufacturing processes
Develop jigs and fixtures
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to make and sustain high levels of product quality
Source spare parts
Plan and execute the setup of new machinery
Assist in developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety standards ; Implement new processes
Create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Create maintenance schedule for new manufacturing equipment
Other duties as assigned
