Reliable, committed, cheerful Hygienist sought for mat leave coverage position (leading to FT if desired for right fit) in busy Paediatric practice. You are a true team player, upbeat, work well at a fast pace, and dedicated to excellence in patient care. This is an established office. We need someone kind, gentle, and possessing outstanding communication/organizational skills to reassure anxious children and their parents. You project professionalism, you're motivated, and you understand excellent customer service starts with you! You have a strong work ethic, won't leave your teammates hanging, you're detail-oriented, can follow-through with instructions, and are able to prioritize and work well under pressure. You are seeking a permanent Dental Home for yourself.
Requirements:
Tues & Wed (8:30a-4:30p) and Fri (8:30a-1:30p)AM
Current RDH license; PHO Reprocessing, CPR, WHMIS certification must be up-to-date or in progress
Must follow all COVID-19 safety protocols in a healthcare setting and be able to confidently enforce them without complaining ( must be vaccinated and must wear a mask properly!)
Must show compliance for current Infection Control Guidelines (IPAC cert., PHO reprocessing), respect cross contamination issues, and be meticulous about helping to keep office clean!
Dental software proficiency (Dentrix) and computer literacy essential
Ability to identify and obtain proper, diagnostic, digital X-rays on children using phosphor plates and sensors
Strong communication skills (MUST be fluent in written and verbal English for a child and parent to understand you behind a mask and to be able to type chart notes for Doctors!)
Willingness to learn/adapt/adjust to office procedures in busy environment
Positive/team-player attitude, with rapport-building skills, especially with clientele
Willingness to work during busy paediatric seasons (all school holidays)
Be flexible with cross-training, and adapting to different tasks as needed
