Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication disorders and more. (Client's will likely have been recently assessed by current SLP and contract SLP may not need to do this).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs. (Current SLP will likely update therapy plan before contract SLP takes over).
Provide therapy services to patients with various speech and language disorders.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. We use Jane app to complete online charting for clients.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication skills and more.
Stay up to date with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Complete admin work: booking follow up appointments, reschedule bookings as needed etc.
Experience:
Strong background in patient care and case management
MUST have experience working with pediatric clients.
MUST have experience working with children with ASD, speech delay/disorder, literacy, language delays etc.
Experience using Touch Chat
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Licensed with College of Speech and Hearing BC (CSHBC) and in good standing.
RASP Qualified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
