We are looking for a Strategic Supply Director, reporting to the Vice President of Global Vehicle Supply, to lead the development and implementation of supply strategies which will support the BRP product launch schedule while achieving the business objectives. In this role, you will have a major impact by bringing value and competitive advantages to the business, reflected in customer satisfaction, project implementation, increased profit margin and quality, innovation and risk management related to the supplier network.

In addition, you will be responsible for directing our corporate social responsibility strategy in terms of global supply and rolling out the strategy to achieve the objectives and the intended targets of reducing CO2 emissions in our supply chain.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Oversee contract negotiation, risk assessment and mitigation, as well as strategic relationships with suppliers and performance management.
  • Direct the team and improve it.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with the main internal stakeholders.
  • Make strategic recommendations regarding the future of the global supply function.
  • Optimize internal processes and interfaces to improve the efficiency and productivity so as to support BRP's growth plan.
  • Define the annual objectives, including targets for increasing the profit margin, in collaboration with operating units and finance departments, and have full responsibility for achieving them.
  • Support the management of the main strategic suppliers so as to promote continuous improvement and to identify new opportunities offering exceptional value firstly to BRP, and then to customers.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor degree, a master of business administration or a postgraduate degree in supply chain.
  • At least 10 years' experience in strategic supply and relevant experience in manufacturing industries.
  • Proven skills in negotiation, forming partnerships with suppliers, and decompartmentalized management in a large business.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills; comfortable liaising with senior managers and giving clear, concise and well-planned presentations to them.
  • Fluency in French and English since this post requires negotiations with non-French-speaking suppliers in the United States and elsewhere in the world, and the post is performed in a French-speaking environment.

As this is a global post, travel to other facilities and sites will be required so as to build and maintain relationships with the main stakeholders of the business and to participate in specific strategic initiatives.

Attendance at the Valcourt office is required three days per week.
