We are an agri-food processing company, a leader in the production of apple and fruit puree, which employs more than 300 people in the MRC Haut-Saint-Laurent region. We are currently looking for an electro-mechanic (2 day/1 night)

The role of the Electromechanic is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, refurbish and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.

More specifically, the job holder will be called upon to:

Know and comply at all times with quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations and company policies
Install, align, dismantle and move, in accordance with the plans and using manual and electric tools, industrial machinery or equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, boilers and etc.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and failures on a preventive basis
Read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, documents and procedures to determine how to proceed
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Use machining tools, such as lathes and grinder, to fabricate the parts necessary for the repair, maintenance or assembly of machines
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery and premises
Troubleshoot and replace motors
Replace photocells with wiring
Perform minor electrical repairs
All other related tasks
