The Lloydminster Primary Care network is seeking a Nurse practitioner to join our dedicated team of health care professionals at the Primary Care Clinic
Duties and Skills:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. While you will have a physician mentor, you will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. You must be capable of effectively collaborating with clients, physicians, and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
Required Qualifications :
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with or ability to register with both CRNA and CRNS on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure.
In accordance with the Health Professions Act, the NP must clearly identify any work restrictions to the NP's license
NP must be licensed to work with the family/all age's patient population.
Current BLS and CPR certification required.
Additional Required Qualifications :
Working knowledge of healthcare IT systems (Alberta Netcare, Clinic EMRs);
Desktop IT skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Demonstrates and communicates respect to all in the workplace, and engages with the team, patient, and families in acknowledging, addressing, and resolving conflict;
Models excellence in Professional Practice by adhering to relevant provincial and federal legislation, CRNA Standards of Practice and Guidelines, and the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics;
Identifies and practices within individual scope of practice and competency;
Maintains clinical competency, including procedural skills relevant to practice;
Models patient and Family Centered Care Principles.
Possess and present a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
