Here's the opportunity: Bilingual Business Development Coordinator

The bilingual Business Development Coordinator will support business development teams in promoting Futurpreneur financing and mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs and community partners. We are seeking a motivated business development coordinator to assist our business development managers in driving lead generation and expanding the business. You will conduct market analysis, initiate contact with prospects, generate leads and propose sales strategies, maintain relationships with existing clients and address their needs, and complete a range of administrative duties. At Futurpreneur, our client base is broad. We work with three different clientele, entrepreneurs aged 18-39, mentors and local and national entrepreneurship ecosystem partners.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in one of our satellite offices in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, or Saskatchewan. The incumbent will work under our hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).

What you will do:

Lead Generation and team support

Serve as a first point of contact for potential entrepreneurs to expand the company's client base
Utilize various tools and strategies to generate leads and establish initial contact base on different regional volumes and national programs offer to our diverse potential entrepreneurs
Ensure rigorous follow-ups on specific leads segments as identified by our team and where appropriate, send to a BDM, or an ecosystem partner
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Business Development team, including researching
Preparing presentations and materials, and support marketing initiatives as needed
Assist in tracking leads, opportunities, and pipeline activities to maintain CRM database
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, programs and partnerships to align business development efforts with overall company objectives
Support BD teams in mentor research to identify leads
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
As needed, act as a point of contact for entrepreneurs, mentors, partners inquiries, requests, and feedback

Event coordination (virtual, in-person, hybrid)

Assist in researching, potential event and presentation opportunities
Support and coordinate events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Futurpreneur's offerings
Manage pre-event promotions, logistics (customer segments in CRM system), invitations, and follow-up activities for event attendees
Support BDM and Programs teams with RMPB series, as needed
At times, be in-person to assist at events, as needed by business development teams

Administration and customer service

Provide administrative and logistical support to the Business Development team, including researching opportunities, preparing presentations and materials
Support Business development teams in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, such as lead conversion and pipeline follow-ups
Prepare reports and presentations to update the business development team on progress and outcomes
Assist in monitoring project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure planning project is on track
Collaborate with business development leadership team to evaluate and prioritize business development initiatives based on strategic objectives and market dynamic
Support BD office coordinators while on vacations, as needed

What you will have:

Relevant experience may include education with a focus on Business, Marketing, Economic development, entrepreneurship or equivalent hands-on career experience
Strong research abilities and computer literacy abilities with systems and programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software)
Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) as you will be required to work on a daily basis with non-bilingual team members and/or clients across Canada and at Head office in Toronto
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team
General administration experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed business decisions
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and goal achievement
Confident, proactive and motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision
Alignment with Futurpreneur's values and commitment to the mission/purpose of the organization
Be a role model for Futurpreneur's organizational culture by creating a positive impact at every touchpoint with people
