We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Data Analyst 2 to join our IT team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to Manager, Data & Analytics you will be responsible for designing high-performance dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring actionable insights. Additionally, building a robust analytics infrastructure by designing scalable data models, validating data integrity, and empowering users with data literacy through personalized training and support. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
You will be responsible for:
Designing and constructing high-performance, visually compelling dashboards for all organizational levels.
Collaborating with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable key performance indicators.
Designing efficient, performant, and scalable data models for dashboards, reports, and shared datasets.
Validating and troubleshooting data issues related to reporting.
Collaborating with Data Engineers to provision and refine data for dashboards and reports.
Presenting reports and dashboards to business stakeholders, conveying impactful insights.
Developing corporate reports and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Conducting performance analysis and load testing to ensure Power BI solutions' scalability and reliability.
Collaborating across functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities in data analysis and visualization.
Empowering business users with Power BI training, guidance, and support, fostering a culture of self-service analytics.
You have:
A master's degree in a STEM field (Comp Sci, Math, Stat, Data Science, Physics) or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
a proven track record of 3+ years in building reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or other tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker BI.
expertise includes data modeling, DAX, performance analysis, and load testing.
Knowledge of advanced Power BI troubleshooting and performance analyzing skills, utilizing tools like Dax Studio and Tabular Editor.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excel in communication and collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders.
