Position Overview: The VP, Employee Experience is a key member of the CMH Executive Leadership Team (ELT), tasked with strategically enhancing the employee experience at CMH. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight of our employee programs and practices as they relate to full cycle recruitment, performance management, payroll and benefits, engagement and retention, development initiatives, and overseeing occupational health & safety functions. This role will collaborate with human resource leaders across Alterra Mountain Company locations and champion best practices in the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executive Leadership Team
  • Employee Experience Leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPHR designation required.
  • 15-20 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities

  • Proven experience in a VP of HR role or a comparable senior-level HR position.
  • Previous experience as a member of an executive leadership team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of organizational development theories and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of the critical role occupational health & safety plays in fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes employee safety.

Working Conditions

  • Able to lift, carry, or move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and common office equipment on a regular basis.
  • This position may require you to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
