POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Tool & Die team this position will be responsible to design, manufacture and modify required tooling and other tooling aids to assist in the operation of production parts.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design, manufacture and modify of company tools, fixtures, jigs, patterns, gauges and other special tooling aids for particular operations on production parts
• Incorporate engineering, tooling and production personnel concepts into tooling requirements
• Draw layouts to scale, problem solve operations issues and display all part and assembly drawings with dimensions
• Set up and operate to prescribed tolerances, machines/tools required
• Perform finishing and assembly operations on dies and set up dies on presses for testing purposes
• Manufacture part of and assemble and test tools, jigs and fixtures

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Must hold a Manitoba or interprovincial trade certificate.
• Be able to read and analyze blue prints, operation and product related reference charts/tables, select mechanical measuring, checking and layout tools and devices
• Have experience in setting up machines/tools in the performance of the job and operate to tight, defined tolerances.
• CNC Machining would be an asset
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Adherence to all established safety practices and procedures
