As a Tow Truck Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles between an insurance claims center and two of our company's body shop locations in Calgary. Your primary role will involve safely and efficiently towing vehicles using a tow truck, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.
Wages starting at $27 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Transportation: Safely operate a tow truck to transport vehicles from the insurance claims center to the designated body shop locations.
- Loading and Unloading: Properly secure vehicles onto the tow truck and ensure safe unloading at the destination.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre- and post-transportation inspections to assess the condition of vehicles and document any existing damages.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while operating the tow truck and ensure the safe handling of vehicles during transportation.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the towing process.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including transportation logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle condition reports.
- Maintenance and Care: Regularly inspect and maintain the tow truck to ensure it is in proper working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Communication: Coordinate with the insurance claims center and body shop locations to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring effective communication throughout the transportation process.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Towing Experience: Prior experience in operating tow trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Knowledge of Calgary: Familiarity with Calgary's roadways, traffic patterns, and navigation systems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, insurance claims center, and body shop personnel effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to conduct vehicle inspections and accurately complete documentation.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
- Professionalism: Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude while representing the company.
