Position: Millwright Apprentice – Projects Reports to: Projects Manager

As a Millwright Apprentice you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.

Requirements

Detailed Description of duties:

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
• Assembly of machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
• Assist with building construction and/or building maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Hourly Rate - $25.20 - 37.80 dependent on level of Apprenticeship
