The Finance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial operations within the company. This position involves managing day-to-day financial tasks. The Finance Coordinator collaborates with various departments to streamline financial processes and resolve discrepancies, while also maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

What you'll be doing:

WB

- Record all transactions in Epic

- Prepare monthly financials

- Work with auditors on GL transactions

WIBL

- Recording all transactions in Epic (not done already by staf) – misc income, etc.

- Update Budget, Loan, and RIBO excel reports

- Process AR – accounts current

- Follow up with insurers about discrepancies or issues

- Complete RIBO report for Jan and July filings

- Complete bank recons

- Monthly financial statements, close of month, send producers relevant reports. CBN quarterly reports

- Work with auditors for GL transactions

- Set up all bank transactions for approval

WAL, WRL, WRHL

- Process income

- Produce month end reports

Daily cash flow Monitoring / AccountTransfers

- Confirm / file RIBO position report

- Deposit cheques

- Process and record expenses

- Process Transactions for WAL, WRL, and WRHL

- Set up RST/Quebec/all other taxes (sask online-send cheque, Manitoba annual

- Process expenses for WAL, WRL, and WRHL

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Must have 3+ years' experience
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Strong attention to detail; Ability to keep information confidential a must
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software are essential for success in this role
  • Insurance industry experience a definite asset
