About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structure Fitter Welder to join our team in Kitchener. This role focuses on structural fabrication and welding, requiring precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality. The successful candidate will play a key role in fabricating high-quality structures, ensuring every project meets strict design and safety standards. Candidates with hands-on experience in fitting and welding structural components will excel in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Structural Fitting: Assemble, align, and fit structural components to exact specifications.
    • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to execute projects accurately.
    • Welding: Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on components to ensure strong and reliable joints.
    • Fabrication: Operate tools and equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, and saws to shape and prepare materials for fitting and welding.
    • Inspection: Conduct quality checks on completed structures to meet safety and compliance standards.
    • Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
    • Collaboration: Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Qualifications

    • Experience as a Structure Fitter Welder is mandatory.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
    • Expertise in welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
    • Ability to measure, align, and assemble components with precision.
    • Knowledge of operating overhead cranes and other fabrication tools is an asset.
    • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
