Supporting Project Managers on-site in a potash mining environment, the project administrator works collaboratively with other teams, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. To be successful, the candidate needs to have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and be detailed oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- File documents, and conduct employee onboarding, orientation and paperwork.
- Assist with organizing on-site events such as lunch and learns.
- Taking meeting minutes, drafting memos/presentations and distributing as necessary.
- Aid with the development and maintenance of project management documents.
- Work with suppliers on quotes, project costs, delivery and forecasted spending.
- Support Project Managers with the procurement of materials, supplies and services as necessary.
- Assist Project Managers with their schedule, and coordinate team meetings and schedules.
- Organize and prepare for internal and external meetings; gathering materials required.
- Utilize Excel for a variety of project tracking and documentation.
- Support month-end procedures.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries
- Relevant diploma or degree
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented
