Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Developer, responsible for building and maintaining secure web applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, testing, and deploying secure, scalable, and high-performing applications. This role requires close collaboration with the development team and other stakeholders to meet complex customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and code secure, high-availability web applications.
- Collaborate with teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions for complex business needs.
- Provide operational support for web portal solutions during regular business hours.
- Perform quality assurance testing and deploy defect remediation and enhancements.
- Assess and address defects, new enhancements, and project initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for system development and revisions.
- Support infrastructure, network, and database components to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Work within an Agile framework (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.
Requirements
Technical Requirements:
- Government of Canada Secret Level clearance is required
- Proficiency in ColdFusion programming language.
- Experience with ColdBox Framework 4.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL-92.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, and HTML5 for front-end development.
- Experience with Apache POI for document processing.
- Hands-on experience with Git for version control.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
- Experience with Oracle 19c for database management.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Proven ability to solve complex, technical, and abstract problems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both remote and on-site teams.
- Ability to efficiently work in a hybrid environment (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).
- A team player with the confidence to escalate issues and challenge ideas when necessary.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Experience working on Government of Canada contracts.
Benefits
- Working hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- Location: Ottawa - Hybrid with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote
- Type of job: Temporary Contractor
- Hourly contract rate: TBD depending on experience
- Date candidate required: Immediate
- Length of Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension
