Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Developer, responsible for building and maintaining secure web applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, testing, and deploying secure, scalable, and high-performing applications. This role requires close collaboration with the development team and other stakeholders to meet complex customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and code secure, high-availability web applications.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions for complex business needs.
  • Provide operational support for web portal solutions during regular business hours.
  • Perform quality assurance testing and deploy defect remediation and enhancements.
  • Assess and address defects, new enhancements, and project initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation for system development and revisions.
  • Support infrastructure, network, and database components to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Work within an Agile framework (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Government of Canada Secret Level clearance is required
  • Proficiency in ColdFusion programming language.
  • Experience with ColdBox Framework 4.
  • Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL-92.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, and HTML5 for front-end development.
  • Experience with Apache POI for document processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
  • Experience with Oracle 19c for database management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience working on Government of Canada contracts.

Benefits

    • Working hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
    • Location: Ottawa - Hybrid with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote
    • Type of job: Temporary Contractor
    • Hourly contract rate: TBD depending on experience
    • Date candidate required: Immediate
    • Length of Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension
