As a Contract Administrator based in Ottawa, you will have access to a diverse portfolio of projects and be accountable for projects in construction consisting of varying building types, structural materials and delivery methods. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will have both in-office and onsite responsibilities. Strong leadership skills and the ability to be collaborative are a must for this role and your success at Entuitive.

What will you do?
- Design of temporary structures for various projects
- Perform regular site inspections and report preparation.
- Attend regular site meetings with contractors, other consultants, and clients
- Manage contract administration duties for multiple projects in parallel
- Provide immediate engineering support to contractors in the field
- Design of deficiency mitigation measures
- Design of jacking, falsework, shoring and roadway protection etc.
- Review progress billings and issue Site Instructions
- Review of work on construction sites is required
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with contractors and clients
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in design of temporary structures and construction engineering
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) licensed to practice in the province of Ontario
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) licensed to practice in the province of Quebec is preferred
- Site Access Security clearance is preferred
- Experience on site and working with contractors
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients.
- Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in a clear manner, listen effectively and adopt and integrate ideas from other team members, including clients and contractors.
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on time
- Ability to work on both small and large projects of varying durations
- Ability to explain designs and to work with others to develop the optimal design for the available resources
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
