High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We're on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo's success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We're asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The Role

Neo is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial and solution oriented leader with strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills to join our team. This individual will sit at the intersection of business and finance; using critical thinking to help build, manage, monitor and execute business critical projects and strategic initiatives to drive customer growth and profitability while working in a highly ambiguous environment. You will act as the right-hand to our executive leadership, acting as a key player driving growth of Neo's business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Craft operational strategies in alignment with company goals to increase growth and profitability
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data to provide actionable solutions and recommendations
  • Manage end to end execution of key initiatives ensuring delivery against forecasted performance objectives
  • Lead through influence, effectively guiding small teams through trust, collaboration and inspiring action.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes, with a focus on optimizing product pricing strategies to drive customer growth
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Product, and Data to achieve cross-functional business outcomes

Who we are looking for:

  • A business leader with strong experience building and scaling a business
  • Entrepreneurial DNA - comfortable building a business from the ground up, making decisions in the face of ambiguity (but make data-driven decisions when possible) and dealing with major challenges along the way with poise
  • Strategic thinker with a strong 'business sense'
  • Excellent EQ - managing relationships with a large external network of partners, as well as building and managing an internal team
  • A minimum of 10 years of extensive senior leadership experience in leading and developing finance functions at a fast-growing organization, preferably within the tech space
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with FP&A, accounting, and capital management
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to develop concise summaries of complex analyses and data appropriate for various levels of consumption ranging from board members to team members across the company
  • Disciplined process manager with an obsession for attention to detail
